June Collaboration Week

We’ve written before about our quarterly Collaboration Events, where all employees come onsite at our Newcastle studio to hold meetings, workshops and skills development sessions which we’ve tailored around employee needs and requests.

At the end of June, we held our third Collaboration Week, celebrating the end of another great quarter for ZeroLight.

We ran an employee survey at the close of our previous event gathering staff feedback on what they’d like to learn more about and this time around the focus was knowledge transfer on our existing and upcoming products, learning more about coaching and imposter syndrome, understanding how our growth team pitched ZeroLight products as well as general skill sharing sessions from our Art, IT and Tech teams.

We kicked off the week with breakfast from Stairwayz Cafe on our terrace, enjoying bacon and sausage sarnies whilst our CEO Darren gave an update on our current work and clients.

During last collaboration week, we introduced a coaching concepts workshop that was open for all staff to attend and learn more about coaching themselves and others to achieve goals. This was really popular, so we continued this with an intro to the 4 Plays of Coaching and the Stages of Competence as well as leading a discussion on imposter syndrome.

We continued the week with various team retrospective and skill sharing sessions, rounding off events with a product knowledge session run by our CPO Jason and a full demo of how we sell our product suite, with employees as the client, by our Growth Team.

A ZeroLight event isn’t complete without a social afternoon and this time around we took ourselves along the Tyne to Two by Two Brewery, where Trigo Wood Fired Pizza van supplied us with amazing freshly cooked pizza all afternoon. We were even lucky enough to be blessed by the weather gods to have a lovely afternoon of sunshine.

Employee feedback and input into these events is so important to us. Some of the comments we’ve had on our survey on the June Collaboration Week so far include:

“The week was absolutely fantastic - every collaboration meeting/activity setup was exceptional.”

“Enjoyed everyone being together to bounce ideas around. The workshops within our specific field ie, Tech, Coaching, Google etc were great. Found lots of useful takeaways.”

It’s onto a new quarter now with renewed focus. Can’t wait to do it all again in September!
