Audi and strategic visualisation partners, ZeroLight, will present their critically acclaimed cloud and VR experiences at NVIDIA's GTC Europe, taking place at the Internationales Congress Center München, Germany, October 10th - 12th. Focussing on the influence of GPU technology in innovation, GTC Europe is designed to highlight the innovative ways high-performance computing is transforming our world. Allowing customers to digitally explore and configure any of Audi's luxury vehicles in stunning detail, the virtual reality experience will be available in the VR Village during the full duration of the event. Users will also be able to utilise their connected device to define their perfect A4 via the cloud on Audi.de.
Presenting at 2pm on Wednesday 11th October, Teamlead Virtual Reality/Digital Content, Thomas Orenz, and Project Manager, Martin Rademacher, will highlight the importance of VR systems as a valuable tool for Audi AG in both production and retail. This comes following the announcement of a worldwide rollout of the Audi VR experience. Starting in Germany, UK and Spain, Audi are set to deploy its consumer VR experience as both walking and seated deployments.
Further to the VR experience, the deployment of real-time 3D visualisation over the web has delivered a highly interactive online configurator for the Audi A4. Harnessing the exact same digital model as used in the VR experience, customers on Audi.de can utilise the web to digitally configure their perfect car. This deployment has led to significant results for a channel that is increasingly becoming one of the primary decision-making tools within the modern customer journey.
"Engaging modern consumers over the web with a consistent, device agnostic experience is critical to the success of modern automotive retail. Our cloud solution is truly unique, delivering the same product models at the point of sale directly to the customers device in stunning detail. This is delivering tangible results, allowing Audi customers to make more informed purchase decisions whilst driving upsell potential." - Thomas Orenz, Teamlead Virtual Reality/Digital Content, Audi AG.
"Our work with Audi is pioneering consumer experience within the mobility sector, delivering high-quality propositions derived from a single data source both in-store and online. The result is a digital ecosystem that puts the customer at the very centre of the process across all touch points, defining consumer-centric retail in a rapidly changing environment." - Darren Jobling, CEO, ZeroLight.
