Automotive visualisation specialists ZeroLight have been shortlisted for the SMB Company of the Year Category at the Employee Engagement awards 2016. The awards recognise excellence in engagement that directly inspires and emphasises employee involvement.

Recognition is a result of the successful operation to create a first-class environment that matches the world-leading technology developed by the highly skilled, 80 strong team. To this extent, contemporary development Live Works was selected due to its potential to deliver an atmosphere that nurtures and supports the creative needs of the workforce, reflecting the staff-centric values of the company.

To ensure such a venue came to fruition, multiple focus groups were held to collate the needs and opinions of all employees, shaping the process at every stage to ensure the end result was a true interpretation of staff requirements. Throughout the project, activities to suit the unique stance of prospective candidates were implemented to further attract key talent. Live Works is now the embodiment of a collective vision, showcasing and catering for the values of the current workforce whilst remaining inclusive, allowing new starters to bring a fresh perspective when settling into ZeroLight's start-up culture. The lifestyle created from the project is now documented online as part of a new social initiative built around showcasing the ZeroLight team & spirit, shining a light on new individuals every week.

Located on the Newcastle Quayside, an area synonymous with the industrial & engineering heritage of the North East, ZeroLight's new facilities drive and inspire the creative processes of its employees. An open floorplan allowing for large innovation spaces to test the latest R&D, ceiling to floor windows delivering natural light, a top floor terrace with complimentary refreshments and balcony delivering signature views, the amenities are second to none and lend themselves to be moulded to the company's ongoing requirements.

Taking place on January 26th at the iconic Wembley Stadium, the awards gala will bring together some of the biggest people-led corporations to celebrate the success of employee empowerment.
