To support the launch of the new 2027 Corvette Grand Sport, the talented team at GM built a stunning interactive car configurator with Unreal Engine.
It featured a true-to-life 3D digital twin of the new performance car, expertly lit on the home straight of a golden-hour race track environment.
With the application complete and ready to play a key role in their launch campaign, they needed to make it accessible to potential buyers across the US, providing a high fidelity, low latency experience on phones, tablets and computers.
Enter OmniStream™, ZeroLight’s enterprise-standard pixel streaming platform.
GM came to ZeroLight to stream their visualiser reliably, securely, and at scale to as many interested customers as possible.
The Corvette team wanted to make the most of OmniStream’s hyper-scalable 2D media-on-demand mode to generate hundreds of thousands of images directly from their Unreal application. This meant the visualiser could be delivered as either an interactive 2D gallery or full 3D experience to end users. This strategy had the benefit of enhancing the launch experience’s efficiency and reach.
To ensure everything was in place ahead of launch, ZeroLight’s experts provided additional support to the GM team under OmniStream’s ‘Managed service’ offering. This included:
Once live, the experience went over and above GM’s engagement goals, with an exceptional average engaged session length of 6m 30s in 3D mode. OmniStream supported the visualiser with significant 3D concurrencies throughout the launch period.
ZeroLight’s role in the launch didn’t end there. We also lent our CGAI expertise to the creation of a first-of-its-kind, personalised post-configuration experience to support additional engagement.
Once users were happy with their choices, they were prompted to view their configured Corvette in an original location, such as their driveway, that they could upload themselves as an image. They could also choose a background from a library of pre-approved environments.
ZeroLight’s CGAI visualisation tech stack then took the user’s configured 3D digital twin and combined it with their preferred location to create a product-correct, photorealistic image within seconds.

Tens of thousands of personalised, photorealistic images were generated with ZeroLight’s CGAI-powered experience, which were then shared on social media or used to update device wallpapers.
Together, the streamed visualiser and personalised CGAI experience built huge hype and discussion around the launch of the Corvette Grand Sport, supporting GM’s goal to maximise engagement and reservations.
