Meet the Team: Jordan Rorrison
It was mayhem in the ZeroLight studio on Friday evening, when it was discovered our CEO, Darren Jobling, had been ‘murdered' on the terrace. After digesting the news, with some lovely pizza and drinks, our very own ZL Detectives got on the case to solve the mystery…
Each team was given key information on the case, including a secret locked box found on Darren's desk. We had our detectives (which included Ace Ventura, Velma from Scooby Doo and Sherlock Holmes) search the studio office by office, questioning the ‘Person of Interest' in each room, all of whom were seen acting suspicious before the CCTV cut off and the crime was committed - what are the chances?
From encrypted sound clips of Darren's voice, to investigating the murder weapon (a bloody keyboard!) the teams were tight on time to solve each clue and question the suspects.
Some clues proved harder than others, with a letter written in invisible ink by our suspicious CMO, Francois. Oh, and it helped if you spoke French, as well.
And it wouldn't be a true crime at ZeroLight if we didn't have a spooky VR demo for the teams to investigate.
Our teams gathered together to solve the final clue in an attempt to crack the code of the secret box, which revealed Darren's plans to leave ZeroLight to become a Magician and hand over the company to our IT Director Michael!
Thankfully this wasn't a real murder in the building, as our ZL Detectives were not quick enough to solve the entire case. But we had some very close predictions from Helton, Alvaro, George and Zeljko who were crowned Murder Mystery Champions.
Between pizza's, card tricks and riddles, we had a great time this year at the Halloween social. A big thank you to the suspects, Martin, Carsten, Jack and Tom, for acting the part all evening. And of course, to Darren, for really getting into the ‘spirit' of things….
