IAA 2017 - Frankfurt Motor Show
As strategic visualisation partners to Audi AG, ZeroLight worked alongside the luxury car brand and their partners at Oculus for the showcase of the Audi VR experience at IAA 2017. Coming after the official launch of Audi's in-dealership VR experience, the solution was available to trade, press and public visitors at Facebook's stand in the New Mobility World Hall, giving them the chance to experience first-hand the automotive industry's premier VR configuration solution.
Using the stand's two Oculus Rift demo stations, the team exhibited the breath-taking detail of the experience, enabling visitors to explore Audi vehicles in ZeroLight's latest volumetric video beach environment. Pioneering the development of volumetric video environment creation, ZeroLight used cutting-edge production techniques to combine an immersive 3D scene with 360-degree video, transporting visitors to a stunningly dynamic beach scene that enhances presence and drives engagement.
"We're incredibly proud to be part of the Audi VR experience demonstration with Oculus at IAA. Digital experiences, such as virtual reality, are increasingly becoming an expected part of the modern automotive buying journey. With our partners at Audi, we're leading the way in the development and deployment of these at scale."
Darren Jobling, ZeroLight CEO
