ZeroLight, providers of one of the most advanced omnichannel visualisation platforms for the automotive industry, have announced that they will be showcasing the development journey of their award-winning, cloud-powered 3D car configurator at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Summit, July 7th, at the ExCel centre, Royal Victoria Dock, London. The solution, which utilizes AWS GPU instances for real-time rendering, is set to revolutionise the automotive industry's expectations of online visualisation.

ZeroLight, an ISV and AWS Technology Partner, was the first to market with a highly advanced real-time cloud-powered 3D configurator. The technology combines low latency and high visual fidelity without the need for any plug-ins, providing a rich brand experience. Users can digitally explore the car from any angle, sit inside, open the doors, boot and bonnet whilst configuring and also see the vehicle drive. In February, the technology was recognized at the Techies Awards 2016, winning the best Cloud technology category against strong competition from the likes of Huddle and Salesforce. In April, it was featured by UK publication Top Gear for its capabilities in delivering a highly immersive, engaging experience on any connected device.

"We approached Cloud development with the same scope as our acclaimed in-dealership Virtual Reality and screen experiences, to deliver the highest quality proposition on the market that allows the user to digitally explore a car in a way that's accessible, intuitive and visually stunning." - François de Bodinat, Chief Marketing Officer, ZeroLight.

AWS is at the forefront of broad and deep core cloud infrastructure services. Their GPU VM's (Virtual Machines), 'Availability Zones', 'Amazon Route 53', 'Auto-scaling groups' and 'Amazon EC2 API' technologies (amongst others) combine with proprietary ZeroLight Cloud technologies to deliver an agile, self-repairing demand-based solution that is safe, scalable and secure for OEM's to deploy as part of their online customer journey.

"AWS has provided us with the tools to develop proprietary software that allows us to effectively manage our instances to a ‘just-in-time production' philosophy. This means that our service always runs at the optimum capacity for the demands of our clients, ensuring their customers can access their services on demand." - Dave Hawes, Technical Director, ZeroLight

"ZeroLight are an example of how cloud computing can be harnessed to deliver a new experience for customers. We're looking forward to learning more about how ZeroLight is leveraging the AWS cloud to innovate for customers," said Gavin Jackson, head of AWS in the UK.
