Last week Marketing Director Jason Collins collected the award for UK's most disruptive technology business model on behalf of ZeroLight at the UK Business Awards. But walking to the stage to receive the trophy from the representative of the Cranfield School of Management and posing for photographs was just the final piece of effort following the two major stages of the judging process.

The written portion of the application was headed up by Associate Marketing Director Joseph Artgole and required the submission of detailed information about the company, our innovative visualisation solutions and the success of the projects we've delivered. With a focus on not only how our business model is disruptive in the field of automotive visualisation, but also how we're disrupting the automotive industry's business model as well, the anonymous judging panel was thoroughly impressed. This secured our place as a finalist, and an invitation to the judging day.

The UK business award's scoring system makes it one of the most thorough and well respected of the many awards that ZeroLight enters and receives. Endorsed by the Cranfield School of Management, both the written application and the presentation receive 50% weighting of the final score. Each judge for the written and presentation aspect of the process score independently on criteria including business rationale, output, insight, innovation and implementation.

Held at the exclusive Park Plaza Riverside hotel on London's South Bank the judging day required Jason to present a 15 minute overview of the business, covering a number of key areas. Following a 20 minute Q&A with the judging panel, scores were submitted in private, so that no one, including the judges knew who had won prior to the announcement.



Jason's presentation was split into 3 sections. The industry trends and insights in automotive retail which make ZeroLight's solutions so popular and relevant, the disruptive tech and business model which gives us an advantage in the industry and finally a selection of case studies from projects with Audi, Pagani and Toyota.

ZeroLight is joined by winners in other categories, many of them prestigious names in the world of business. Other winners include Virgin Money, Aldi, O2, Unibet, Barclays and Three.
