Earlier this month, our Chief Marketing Officer François de Bodinat joined our US-based Chief Strategy Officer Barry Hoffman in the US, for a flying visit to New York City. This was no vacation though, as they came prepared with a ZeroLight virtual reality (VR) demo kit, screen and PC and a packed schedule of appointments with leading agencies, partners and brands.

In amongst a number of meetings, Barry and François visited YouTube Space NYC, at the heart of the trendy Chelsea Market in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan. The lift entrance alone gives away how much influence Google has had on the aesthetics of the office space. François and Barry got to check out the 3D immersive green screen studio that YouTube is using to create amazing 3D virtual reality videos, which portray how VR works and what it looks like from the user's perspective.

During the course of the week, François and Barry also visited Code and Theory, one of the premier design agencies in the world, where they gave a demo of ZeroLight's VR solution. Located in Soho, the Code and Theory NYC office certainly lives up to the district's artistic heritage being the former headquarters of Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine. Barry and Francois had the opportunity to explore the 30,000 sq. ft loft lined with books from Interview Magazine's era.

As well as meeting with leading brands and agencies in and around New York's tech quarter, Silicon Alley, Barry and François spent time in Wall Street, giving a VR demo on the 45th floor of one of the buildings. This was another opportunity to fly the ZeroLight flag globally with some of the best and key actors in the industry and quite successful it was too.

ZeroLight regularly travel to clients, partners and events to demonstrate our world-leading VR solution. Of course, this involves transporting and setting up our HTC Vive demos in a range of locations, though not all as iconic as we see Barry in the picture above, setting up on Wall Street, with a fantastic view of the Brooklyn Bridge in the background! Our demo kits are powerful but transportable and include all the technology, accessories, displays and headsets required to add the WOW factor. Our dedicated demo team oversee the preparation and management of the kits, and often travel with them to assist with set up and events.
