Over the last few weeks the Talent Development Team here at ZeroLight have been busy attending and organising various events involving both university and school students.

First up was the always popular Expo Talent at Teesside University. This annual event gives employers the opportunity to meet with second year students from the School of Computing as they showcase their latest work. For the Talent Development Team, it's always a great chance to talk to potential placement students looking to work in the tech industry during their third year. Soon after this ZeroLight appointed its first placement student for 2017/18 from Teesside, who will work within the Demo Team whilst continuing his studies.

The following week we were delighted to be asked to showcase our VR solutions at Imperial College London. The science-based University is consistently ranked in the top 10 universities worldwide and it was great to exhibit alongside the likes of Google at the VR Event in the impressive Business School right in the heart of London's museum district. Students lined up throughout the day to get the chance to demo our HTC Vive experience and the response was amazing!

Finally, this week the team have hosted a special Go Reboot schools visit organised by Sunderland Software City. This training exposes young learners to a range of tech companies, job roles and career routes. The event saw over twenty, year ten students from several local schools participate in VR demos and listen to presentations from our Marketing and Art Teams regarding breaking into the industry. It was great to give the students their first taste of VR and encourage them to consider a career in tech.
